Keeping with the spirit of ABCD this workshop is open to everyone working & living in Worcestershire. Both professionals and community groups working to improve community health and wellbeing in Worcestershire will find this workshop of particular interest.
Overview:
This one-day interactive workshop will provide a balance of theory, practice and discussion exploring the key ideas, values and tools of Asset Based Community Development (ABCD). At the end of the workshop it is anticipated that attendees will be able to:
• Understand and apply the basic principles of the ABCD approach
• Have an awareness of the tools and support available to plan ABCD implementation in a local community context in Worcestershire
• Communicate to their teams and partners the value of adopting an ABCD approach to empowering neighbourhoods in Worcestershire
