Working together for better health through effective research – REACH Worcestershire meets for the inaugural meeting

This month saw the inaugural meeting of REACH (Research Engagement and Community Health) Worcestershire!

REACH Worcestershire, a Worcestershire Alliance initiative, brings together VCSE organisations and Community Wellbeing Roles with The Research and Development Team at Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health & Care NHS Trust.

Our mission is to improve health and wellbeing outcomes and address health inequalities through cohesive, targeted and research informed support for communities in Worcestershire.

Thank you to everyone who participated, and special thanks to the REACH Steering Group for their commitment and insightful contributions, which have moved this initiative forward with such speed.

Key insights emerged from our focused discussions:

> Recognising that not everyone sees research as inherently helpful; meeting people where they are is crucial.

>Understanding that there are various types of research, and data alone may not provide a complete picture.

>Emphasising that building trust is a process that requires time and concerted effort.
