The University of Worcester is seeking an ambitious researcher to support an exciting new initiative to develop new collaborative research, evaluation and knowledge exchange activities between the University and the Co-Lab Digital Innovation Hub  which is part of the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Integrated Care System.  The CO-LAB is designed to support digital technology projects and initiatives designed to improve the health and care of patients, families and staff.

Overview of the post

The post-holder will undertake study design and planning, oversee consultation events, participant recruitment, data collection, data entry and analysis, conduct rapid reviews, write reports and contribute to publications.  The role may also include liaison with and, where appropriate, supervision provided to, Research Assistant staff members.

This post-holder will work with colleagues across the College of Health and Science and the Co-Lab to support new research and evaluation projects aligned to the innovation activities within the Co-Lab.  These applied projects will be coproduced with patients, carers, family members, health and social care staff, so we are looking for someone who brings experience of Public and Patient Involvement and Engagement and related activities, as well as mixed methods approaches to research.  

There will be a range of researcher development available to the successful post holder, who will work under the supervision of a senior researcher.  As we continue to develop this important area of work, there may also be opportunities for the post holder to supervise other research staff members.  

From 1 August 2023, the salary range for this role will increase to £37,100 – £41,732, with the opportunity to progress to £45,585.
