ICS Academy : VCSE Faculty – Inaugural Scoping Session

Monday 10th July 1pm-3pm – Online, MS Teams

The Herefordshire and Worcestershire ICS Academy has been established as a trailblazing model and suite of functions, as part of the new Integrated Care System (ICS) to facilitate ‘better done together’ workforce development, education, training and talent & leadership development opportunities for the health and social care workforce for economies of scale.

This includes supporting and developing our valuable VCSE staff and volunteers across our system ‘at place’.

The ICS Academy was launched on 27th April 2023, made up of a suite of integrated workforce group/sector ‘Faculties’ and enabling functions being established to focus on specific health & care sector workforce development needs within the ICS.

One of the Faculties established is for the Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise to address the training and development needs of VCSE staff and volunteers.

Esther Passingham, the VCSE Strategic Lead for Worcestershire will Chair the VCSE Faculty and Katie Eastaugh, CEO of The Cart Shed in Herefordshire will be Vice Chair.

We would like to invite you to participate in an inaugural meeting of the ICS VCSE Faculty to be a part of shaping the VCSE Faculty operating model, vision, objectives and indicative VCSE workforce development priorities. This will include:

  • Explore how the ICS VCSE Faculty can strengthen VCSE workforce development, education & training.
  • What are the potential opportunities, challenges and priorities?
  • Consider the membership of the ICS VCSE Faculty including what commitment and experience is needed
  • Agree the key principles of a Terms of Reference

We will then set up a face to face session in September; bringing together our new Faculty membership.

This invitation can be transferred to a colleague in your organisation in a senior role with commitment or responsibility for training, development or HR.

Please RSVP to Kay (kay@worcsalliance.org )

We look forward to seeing you!
