We are pleased to announce the appointment of a new independent Chair – Amanda Kilroy. The Alliance Chair leads the Alliance Board’s strategic work to build effective partnership working between the VCSE sector and public sector partners within the Integrated Care System (ICS).

Amanda has a professional background in nursing, further and higher education and participatory research. She has a BSc (Health Sciences) and a master’s in research. For the last year Amanda has worked part time as Head of Practice for Collaborate CIC, where she designs and delivers a range of public and VCSE place based partnership projects, system change initiatives, and leadership coaching groups across the country.
Prior to this Amanda worked for eleven years within the Devon integrated system, first and foremost as CEO of CoLab Exeter, a multi-agency hub hosting a range of public, private and VCSE organisations to support people with complex lives: but also, as a founder member of Devon Mental Health Alliance, The System Change Action Alliance, Wellbeing Exeter Social Prescribing initiative and the Peninsular Women’s Alliance respectively.
Amanda brings a wealth of experience of working at the interface of sectors looking to deliver better health and care outcomes. She is passionate about collaboration, distributed leadership, and community-led change, and about supporting leadership development and meaningful integration of practice at all levels.
