On 25th October we held the first Worcestershire VCSE Assembly welcoming 100 people on the day.
71% of the delegates represented Worcestershire VCSE organisations, 27% were from statutory organisations and 2% were independent.
Since it was founded in July 2022, the Alliance has made great strides in its first phase. As we embark on the next phase, participants at the Assembly were invited to share ideas and experiences to help develop an Alliance that offers support and connections to all VCSE voices. Thank you to Alliance Founder Members and other colleagues who facilitated these lively conversations.
‘It was a really interesting and thought-provoking event as well as a chance to network with a wide variety of Worcestershire based charities and explore the future of collaborative working and better connection within the Integrated Care System. Most importantly yesterday reminded us of the important role VCSE organisations play in supporting the local community’s health and wellbeing’ – VCSE delegate
Assembly speakers were :
Alex Boys – Deputy CEO NAVCA
Esther Passingham – VCSE Strategic Lead
Peter Rose – Tiller Research ltd
Ed Mayo – CEO Pilotlight
Kim Sales – ICS Academy Director
Simon Trickett – CEO Herefordshire and Worcestershire ICB
Ruth Lemiech – Director of Place Development Worcestershire
Sue Harris – Director of Strategy and Business Development at Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care Trust
Mark Fitton – Strategic Director for People at Worcestershire County Council
‘Great to speak at Worcestershire Alliance event recently. Some fantastic work being done to bring the VCSE sector together, and to support it to embed in the work of the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Integrated Care System’ – Alex Boys
100% of the post-event feedback respondents said they would like to attend a future event of this kind. We hope this that will be the first of many events that will connect and strengthen the sector.
